In case you missed the last memo, our #happytuesday tradition is now twice as sweet. In addition to offering double punches on your Snail Mail Card with every greeting card purchase on the second Tuesday of every month from 4-6pm, as we did on the 12th, we’re highlighting a different stationery line each month — it’s our special way to introduce you to our favorite darlings of the paper industry.
April’s featured designer is Wild Ink Press, whose cards we think are totally souper. Today, we want you to meet Wild Ink’s founder, Rebekah Tennis, a farmer, food-lover, traveler, mom, wife, and — oh, yeah, a seriously talented creative businesswoman. We asked Rebekah a few fun questions to get to know her better, and here’s what she said…
When I was a kid my dream job was… I’m pretty sure I told everyone “nutritionist.” That was until I realized there was science involved, not just cooking!! ;)
The very first Wild Ink Press design was… “Hello Gorgeous,” a card which featured a letterpress sunburst with a real mirror in its center. We’ve redesigned the card, but we still sell it today!
If I had to describe the Wild Ink Press aesthetic in three words, I’d call it… colorful, clever, but kind.
My favorite product I ever made is… oh gosh, I’m super proud of our Joie De Vivre journals, pocket sized guided notebooks for tasting, travel and the arts. They’re special and super fun to use and absolutely unique in the industry.
To see the second half of our q&a, head on over to the OliveBox blog. And here’s one more sweet treat: this month, you’ll get a special gift with any in-store purchase from the Wild Ink Press line.
