Happy Monday! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate The Newlywed Cookbook event in East Village last Saturday. It was a beautiful event and exceeded our expectations. I was looking through the photographs taken by the lovely Samantha from rêve du jour last night and was in awe. The space was filled with gorgeous floral arrangements by Kelly from 2hflowers.com and buzzing with about 50 ladies and gents who gathered to taste Sarah’s delicious 1000 layer chocolate chip cookies, sip on IZZE’s sparkling juices and make new friendships. It was wonderful afternoon of sharing our joy for food and creativity in a beautiful setting.

How did The Newlywed Cookbook Event come to be? Life is really funny. I am convinced that we are all connected with each another by one other person in our life. Being a newlywed myself, I was so impressed when I saw the prototype of this cookbook six months ago. I couldn’t wait to bring it to the shop and share with my foodie tribe. The Newlywed Cookbook is very Pink Olive, filled with gorgeous photographs, recipes and anecdotes from the lovely author Sarah Copeland. So you can imagine my surprise (and delight) when I was introduced to Sarah via another entrepreneur friend Allison from Goji Gourmet. A couple of tweets and phone call later, the event was born. I guess great minds (and foodies) think alike!
