Happy Tuesday,
If there is one thing the change of seasons always inspires in me, it’s a need to refresh things in my life. Be it searching for a new spring dress, bringing new blooms into my apartment, or coming up with some new ideas to infuse into my business, I’m always looking for creative ways to spice things up. This year, however, with the influx of DIY into my life, I’ve been wondering if there’s something I already have that I can transform into something new. Enter my good friend Barb Blair’s new book, Furniture Makeovers!
Chock full of “simple techniques for transforming furniture with paint, stains, paper, stencils, and more” you’ll be able to breathe new life into your home without breaking the bank. Her creations are gorgeous too; going way beyond just repainting shelves to include neat techniques like waxing, projecting, decoupage and dry brushing that she applies to decorative bits and pieces, chairs, oak chests, side tables, and other furniture we all have lying around our homes. Her instructions are easy to follow, with bright pictures and step by step directions.
One flip through this book and you’ll be combing through your home looking for pieces you can makeover. Anyone, with any budget and skill level, can make beautiful pieces of art out of furniture they already own. “Furniture Makeovers will inspire you to roll up your sleeves and get started.” Who’s ready for some before and after?
We are so excited to announce that Barb Blair will be coming to NYC on May 18th for a special book signing event at Pink Olive. Space is limited so please RSVP here. She can’t wait to “meet” you!

P.S. Thanks to everyone who came out to our 6th year anniversary event on Sunday. We had a blast! :)
