earlier this month, we announced our collaboration with fresh art, a non-profit organization that provides help to artists with special needs. i just want to say THANK YOU to all of you who have supported this great cause by adopting one of these adorable sock monkeys @ Pink Olive. we had such a great initial reaction to them so far that we decided to bring in MORE sock monkeys to share with you all.

from kids to adults, these one-of-a kind sock monkeys will sure bring a smile to any face and is the perfect gift for any occasion! a friend once told me that if you are nice to the sock monkeys, they'll even hold the umbrella for you. i think we could all use a friend like that...



in light of "earth day"week, it's good to see how recycled socks, button and fabric can bring so much life and happiness to all of us! all the handmade monkeys will sell for $28 (with exception of two that will go for $50) and we will be donating 80% of the proceeds to fresh art.

we are so excited to collaborate with fresh art, a non-profit organization that uses art & craft to offer hope to artists with special needs. their main goal is to help individuals rebuild a sense of self-esteem through the pleasure of creativity and the joy of creating art. the volunteers donate their time and make these sock monkeys out of all sorts of colors and patterns. once finished, they have the option to donate the sock monkey or buy them from fresh art.

at Pink Olive, we are always looking for new ways to partner with other organizations and help the local community. we thought you would all appreciate their cause AND enjoy these adorable, one-of-a-kind sock monkeys! each monkey has been hand-picked by owner grace kang and will sell for $28 at both of our store locations. majority of the proceeds from the sale will go directly to fresh art. it's a time for giving and sharing and creating art!
